Alcorn Hullman + Leckie in Pittsburgh   Saturday, October 31st Kresge Recital Hall Carnegie Mellon University 4:30pm   Pedal steel guitarist Susan Alcorn, violinist Melissa Hullman, and double bassist Jake K. Leckie perform gorgeous and highly original interpretations of nuevo tango pieces along with their own original works.  Tonight they'll play a set of freely improvised music based on original scores and the compositions of Astor Piazzolla.  The trio interprets a challenging repertoire, seamlessly inserting sections of free and spontaneous expression in a dynamic performance that blurs the line between composed and improvised music.
